As part of this rollout, Frido Technologies’ Protech2 units have been installed onboard the Azamara Journey, specifically at the entrance to the Discoveries Restaurant and within the Mosaic Café and retail areas—key high-footfall, social spaces onboard.

At the core of this initiative is the evaluation of advanced 222nm light technology, an emerging innovation designed to continuously reduce airborne and surface pathogens in occupied environments without impacting guest comfort. This technology is already gaining traction within the hospitality sector, with recent introductions in venues such as NELA London, underlining its growing relevance across premium customer environments.
